As part of the Entertainment Industry Foundation's "iParticipate" initiative, daytime stars from "General Hospital," "One Life to Live" and "All My Children" will participate in a day of service on Saturday, October 24th to help beautify a local school in each city.

The "General Hospital" stars confirmed to participate in Los Angeles are Brandon Barash, Jane Elliot, Carolyn Hennesy, Kent King, Lisa Lo Cicero, Minae Noji, Haley Pullos, Aaron Refvem, Megan Ward and Dominic Zamprogna. In New York, stars confirmed to participate from "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" include John Brotherton, Brandon Buddy, Bobbie Eakes, Melissa Claire Egan, Farah Fath, Ricky Paull Goldin, JR Martinez, Cornelius Smith, Chrishell Stause, Robin Strasser, Jason Tam, Denise Vasi and Bree Williamson. Talent participation is subject to change.

During the week of October 19, EIF is using its recently launched "iParticipate" initiative to mobilize the entire entertainment community around a ground-breaking, multi-year initiative designed to inspire a new era of service, promoting a new way of thinking about service, and to motivate millions more Americans to volunteer regularly.

City Year is a nonprofit organization built on the belief that young people can change the world. As tutors, mentors and role models, City Year's diverse young leaders make a difference in the lives of children and transform schools and neighborhoods across the United States, at 19 locations, and in South Africa. Every 26 seconds a student drops out of high school in America, and this dropout crisis requires innovative solutions. Corps members dedicate themselves to helping students and schools succeed with a focus on improving attendance, behavior and coursework. City Year also engages community members, corporate employees and students in high-impact community service events to improve educational, recreational and residential facilities supporting youth and families. For more information about City Year and the areas it serves, log onto www.cityyear.org.

The Soap Nation Tour is ABC Daytime and SOAPnet's ongoing initiative to bring more stars to more fans in more cities more often.
