Awards season is kicking off the year as usual. They say the Golden Globes are the precursors of the Oscar's. Could the Writer's Guild Awards be the precursors of the Daytime Emmys?
Three soap operas were nominated for this year's awards. Blatantly missing is One Life to Live, The Bold and the Beautiful and Days of our Lives. Soapdom thinks all the soaps of 2011 deserve a Writers Guild nomination as all six went over and above as far as the writing was concerned.
The Nominees for Daytime Drama are...
All My Children, Written by Jeff Beldner, Lorraine Broderick, Joanna Cohen, Lisa K. Connor, Chris Dunn, Lucky Gold, Kate Hall, Chip Hayes, David Kreizman, Dave Ryan, Donna Swajeski, Rebecca Taylor, Addie Walsh; ABC
