I can't believe it but here in Los Angeles, public school is back in session. In fact, it started August 14th! Something about giving kids a three-week Christmas vacation and getting the first semester (finals included) out of the way before the holiday.
For me, summer doesn't end until after Labor Day. (Actually, summer ends officially September 21st.).
Bottom line, there is still time to take advantage of having fun with friends and family in your backyard.
