"I Wanna Be a Soap Star 2"

SOAPnet's hit one-hour reality drama, "I Wanna Be a Soap Star," is back with a brand new season.  "I Wanna Be a Soap Star," is the casting call of a lifetime. One winner will receive the ultimate prize…a role on ABC’s "All My Children."  The series captures 12 aspiring actors who will live full-time on the set of an actual soap opera.  The cameras will roll 24/7, capturing every victory, tear, betrayal and tantrum as the contestants work towards their dream of becoming a soap star.  But the action doesn’t end when the auditions are over – wannabes have to spend their nights in constant contact with the same individuals they’re competing with.  So the question is: when the judges are away, will the contestants play…or will the soap opera backstabbing and canoodling continue in real life?  One by one, a panel of experts in the field of acting, casting and television production will eliminate cast members until one remains to become ABC’s next soap star. Airs Thursdays at 11:00 p.m., ET/PT.

"I Wanna Be a Soap Star" #2-03 – Premieres Thursday, July 7
"Caught in the Act" Eight contestants remain on SOAPnet's reality series "I Wanna Be A Soap Star." In episode 3 "Caught In The Act," they are asked to get up close and personal with each other quickly as they are put through the challenge of acting out a love scene.  An acting coach and guest actor Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing, "General Hospital") will offer tips to make the scene more tantalizing.

The actors are thrown for a loop during the challenge when a familiar face is brought back to be in the scene with them.  The contestants are even more startled by the judges' decision on who gets "killed off."  Only one can win the 13-week role on ABC's "All My Children" to become ABC's next soap star.
