Talent Line Up!
On April 5, 2003 at 8 PM ET/PT (7PM CT/MT) "SOAPnet presents The Soap Opera Digest Awards" bringing together some of daytime1s biggest stars to hand out trophies in eleven different categories. Voted on by fans from a ballot in Soap Opera Digest, categories include Outstanding Lead Actor and Actress, as well as Outstanding Newcomer and Favorite Couple. The ceremony will be hosted by Lisa Rinna and Ty Treadway, co-hosts of the SOAPnet talk show "Soap Talk."
Talent confirmed to attend (to date) include Susan Lucci, Rebecca Budig, Alicia Minshew ("All My Children"); Linda Dano, Kassie DePaiva, Timothy D. Stickney, Melissa Archer, Ilene Kristen ("One Life to Live"); Peter Reckell, Kristian Alfonso, Kyle Lowder ("Days of Our Lives"); Brian Gaskill, Erin Hershey Presley, Brian Presley, Kiko Ellsworth ("Port Charles"); Sharon Case, Susan Walters ("The Young and the Restless"); Ricky Paull Goldin, Aubrey Dollar, Beth Ehlers ("Guiding Light"); Scott Holroyd, ("As the World Turns"); Rebecca Herbst, Cynthia Preston, Rick Hearst ("General Hospital"); Ben Masters, Eric Martsolf, Galen Gering, McKenzie Westmore ("Passions").
In addition to the categories above, awards will be handed out to the Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress, Outstanding Younger Lead Actor and Actress, Favorite Return, and Favorite Show. This year, a new category has been added, the "SOAPnet Plot Twist Award," which was voted on by fans at SOAPnet.com.
"SOAPnet presents The Soap Opera Digest Awards" will be hosted by the Daytime Emmy nominated co-hosts of the Daytime Emmy Nominated "SoapTalk," Ty Treadway (Troy, OLTL) and Lisa Rinna (ex Billie, DOOL.)
"SOAPnet Presents The Soap Opera Digest Awards" will air live Saturday April 5, 2003 at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT/MT).
