Congrats on your Stevie award nomination. Your ability to collect and present the latest in soaps is most impressive, and the new site is beautiful. Nice Work! - mut51

I am new to your site and the baby name article is just pure fun, though practical for others I would imagine. I loved it! - mut51

Thanks for your comments. This section really grew from our meeting up with soap fans who revealed that they named their babies after favorite soap characters. A business associate who works for a major interactive ad agency confessed that he and his sister were named after Jeff and Tara on All My Children. He thought he was alone -- until I told him to come check out Soapdom's Soap Opera Baby Names. He couldn't believe we devoted an entire section to this, but heck! Why not. One thing is certain. He now felt like part of a community!

Did you name your child after a favorite soap character?

I enjoyed reading about how the actors relate to their names or not. Never thought about the impact of that before but I suppose if a character has a whimpy name but is supposed to be a macho character, it might be hard for the actor to get past it. Very interesting. - Smitskee

I have always enjoyed this section. I check it out just for fun. It's so interesting to see how the actual character depicts the orgins of the character's name. And who knows? I may be pregnant one day soon... ;) ;) - ScoopHunter

Excellent feature. I have already told three friends who are pregnant (yeah, I know. Must be something in the water! LOL) to come check out this soap opera baby names thing. I love the section called same name, different soap. LOL. Thanx for putting this on your site.
