Daniel pleads with Amber to make a decision and marry him right away, but before she can say anything Deacon arrives. Then, she really steps up. When Deacon informs her and Daniel that if Amber doesn't marry him he can have Ryder recant his statement at anytime, Amber refuses to let Daniel throw away his freedom for her and leaves with Deacon. Deacon demands that they get married the next day. Meanwhile, Daniel takes matters into his own hands when he asks Jana to call 911 on him and have him arrested.

Speaking of Ryder, Kevin is thrilled to have him for a brother. Jana, on the other hand, feels as though something isn't right. Later, in the jail room, Lauren and Michael make it

clear that they aren't as willing to accept Ryder into the family as Kevin is without more proof than a DNA test. Kevin is hurt that Michael refuses to help Ryder.

On the other side of Genoa City, Gloria and Jeff bask in having the upper hand on both Victor and Jack as they prepare to make the money drops. Meanwhile, Colleen frees a weeping Patty before she recognizes her. The moment Patty is free her entire demeanor changes as Colleen backs away in fear. Patty finds a gun in the cabin and Colleen starts trying to take her way out of the situation before things get too far out of hand. Meanwhile, Jack arrives at the same bus depot Victor was at earlier to drop off the money and Jeff and Gloria become ecstatic at the prospect of three million dollars. Jeff and Gloria celebrate their impending good fortune. Meanwhile, Victor and Jack arrive at the Abbott cabin and realize that Patty is gone. Later, Victor and Jack both realize they took precautions against being conned by the kidnappers. Colleen manages to get her phone out and make a call to J.T. Colleen pleads with Patty to let her go until Patty realizes what is going on and points the gun right at Colleen. Jeff and Gloria pick up their money from the bus depot only to have it explode on them in dye packs and confetti. Meanwhile, Patty forces Colleen to get out of the car in the middle of nowhere.
