On the cusp of its much anticipated 50th anniversary, Days of our Lives’ launches a new, faster-paced show with a fresh look and murder-mystery sure to have fans and critics alike gasping for what’s next!  

The first murder takes place Thursday, August 27th and the mystery will continue well through the anniversary with many stories that will spin off and continue through the new year.  

'A Million Happy Nows' is an upcoming Feature Film starring Crystal Chappell and Jessica Leccia, produced by Perfect Features and Open Book Productions, due to be released later this year.

Veteran actress Lainey Allen (Chappell) is tired of being sidelined for younger talent on the soap she has starred in for twenty years. Coupled with finding it harder to retain her lines, she decides not to renew her contract, and she and her publicist and partner, Eva Morales (Leccia), move to their weekend house overlooking the ocean on the Central California coast. The move highlights some small changes in Lainey’s personality – mild depression that Eva puts down to leaving the show.

 

Patsy Pease, who plays Kimberly Brady on Days of our Lives said that she is looking forward to the show's 50th anniversary and is so proud to be able to be a part of such a monumental program.

"Yes! I can't even think of a favorite moment. It was everyday," Pease said. "I love being Kim Brady. I have my life, and she has hers. I tend to mine and I tend to hers. I love it!"

Pease has been on Days of our Lives since 1984, and is celebrating her 31st year. Back in the day, Pease along with Charles Shaughnessy (Shane) were the hottest couple on daytime TV. In fact, they were once called "the" Super Couple.

Pease's character has been through it all -- lovers, trials and tribulations, and even went through a period of hysterical blindness, which she portrayed so well.

Ava has an interesting visitor

I have to say, Silas is just as funny and amusing as a ghost as he was alive. I just love the way he knows how to get under Ava's skin. I'm still not convinced that Ava killed Silas, but it sure is amusing to watch them interact.

I'm thinking that there was a third person at the apartment the day Silas was killed. Perhaps Nina got there right after the murder. Then, along came Ava. And props to Ava for

Carly thinks Morgan is the guilty one

After much thought, I don't believe Morgan killed Silas. To put it simply, Morgan is too much of a coward to kill anyone. Morgan is just an immature young man with no morals and no courage. Granted, Silas was stabbed in the back. But I don't believe Morgan is his killer.

Ava could be guilty. But isn't that a bit too easy? Ava had the most to lose. But would Ava kill her daughter's father? I'm not sure yet. Again, it just seems much too simple.

So Elizabeth figured out that Nikolas had Hayden shot. Good for Elizabeth for being realistic and seeing Nikolas for who he is. Not that I love this darker side of Nikolas. But, at least Elizabeth knows what Nikolas is capable of.

Spencer Neville (Derrick, Days of our Lives) said that playing his character can best be described as "Having a blast!"

"I'm having the time of my life. It is a lot of fun doing the role, and I work with the greatest actors Casey Moss (JJ), Guy Wilson (Will), Christopher Sean (Paul), and Freddie Smith (Sonny)." Neville said. "I have to say, it is just is a joy."

Neville has been with the show about a year and said he was hired for five episodes. Then it went to ten and on and on. "I graduated from being a bell boy at a hotel to becoming a love interest," he said with a laugh.
