Y&R's Eric Braeden is putting his role as Victor Newman on the back burner for a few months to star in and produce the independent feature film, The Man who Who Came Back. Braeden, who has starred as Victor Newman on The Young And The Restless for over 27 years, will be taking a hiatus from the soap and switching to a stetson hat on the set of this indie western opposite Billy Zane and Armand Assante.  Also cast are George Kennedy, Sean Young, Carol Alt, Peter Jason, Jennifer O'Dell who starred in the syndicated TV series The Lost World and James Patrick Stewart (ex Will, All My Children.) Set in the context of one of the bloodiest labor strikes in US history, it's a revenge story that takes place in the 1870s.  Braeden, no stranger to film and prime time television work, also starred in James Cameron's Titanic as John Jacob Astor, as well as the cult classic TV series, The Rat Patrol of the 1960s. Shooting on The Man Who Came Back will start in late April in various locations in Texas.  Contributed by LMS

In more Y&R Buzz, as previously reported at Soapdom.com, Y&R's Joshua Morrow has signed again on the dotted line to continue to play Nicholas Newman on The Young and the Restless. But get this. The contract is not one, not two, not three, not four, but for a full five years! Contributed by LMS

Jon Hensley and Martha Bryne (Holden and Lily, As the World Turns)April 20, 2007

The film quality is less than good, but for those of you As the World Turns fans who want to remember the day Holden wed Lily, click here to check this out . Oh yeah. But all is not love, romance, and holding hands. This was back when Lucinda hated Holden. Relive some of the memories again, thanks to You Tube.  Contributed by CL

Joshua Morrow (Nick, Young and the Restless)As previously reported at Soapdom.com , both Roger Howarth (Paul, As the World Turns) and Trevor St. John (Todd, One Life to Live) have signed again on the dotted line and will remain with their respective soaps. Soapdom has also learned that Joshua Morrow (Nick, Young and the Restless), Sharon Case (Sharon, Young and the Restless), and Natalia Livingston (Emily, General Hospital) have also renewed their contracts.  However, the Buzz is that even with the new contracts in place a character or two may still meet an untimely demise regardless.  Hummm.  Who's next on the chopping block? Stay tuned. Contributed by CL

Thorsten Kaye (Zach, All My Children)Don't let the lovey dovey relationship of All My Children's Kendall and Zach fool you.  Thorsten Kaye (Zach) has just announced that he is about to sign again on the dotted line to renew his contract with AMC.  With Zach staying in town, and his former wife, Ethan's mother, new on the scene, don't be surprised if Zach can't help but be attracted to the woman who mothered his son.  In a statement to The Daily News,  Kaye says:  "This Hannah, she's kind of hot.  These are people who cared about each other and they never had a chance to tell that story. I don't know if my character is supposed to still be attracted to her, but I'm going to play it (that way) anyway.  You know, the only thing you can play in daytime or nighttime is sex and violence, and I'm not going to beat up on her."  Okay, Kendall. You better watch out.  There could be sparks flying between Hannah and Zach very soon.  Contributed by LMS

Trevor St. John (Todd, One Life to Live)Congratulations go out to Trevor St. John, who plays Todd Manning on ABC's One Life to Live, and his wife, Sara, who welcomed a son on March 21, 2007. Upon the birth of the baby, the rather droll yet sincere St. John released the following statement:  "I'd like to announce the arrival of Aidan Lee St. John into the breathing world. He appeared at 4:03am on Wednesday the 21st, weighing in at 7 lbs 5.2 oz. He is happy and healthy as is his mother. And although he has no job and still lives with his parents, he seems like a decent enough chap. And I couldn't be more pleased. Love, Trevor St. John, Father." Contributed by LMS

In more One Life to Live Buzz, looks like the character of Evangeline is not long for this world. Apparently, Renee Elise Goldsberry's contract is soon up and negotiations have taken a wrong turn.  It is reported that as a result, Goldsberry walked and the character of Evangeline will soon be relegated to the dread "coma," to be revived if -- and only if -- Goldsberry changes her mind and contract talks get back on track. Stay tuned. Contributed by LMS
