Soapdom 3 Crown LogoThe illustrious Robin Riker will join the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful beginning Wednesday, June 18, Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley P. Bell, announced today.

Riker will play “Beth Logan,” mother of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Donna (Jennifer Gareis), Katie (Heather Tom) and the late Storm Logan (William deVry).

“Beth, who has been mysteriously absent during the harrowing series of tragic events that her children have recently endured, including Storm’s suicide and Katie’s heart transplant, is forced to face her children and reunite with her family by Nick (Jack Wagner) who flies to Paris to confront the missing matriarch of the Logan family,” previews Bell.

Riker, the lead actress in five prime-time sitcoms, Brothers, for which she was nominated twice for an Ace Award as “Best Actress in a Comedy Series,” Shakey Ground, Thunder Alley, The Gregory Hines Show, and Get a Life; has guest-starred in dozens of prime-time television shows including Big Love, Boston Legal, and Six Feet Under. Her film credits include Spiritual Warriors, Don’t Look Under the Bed, Stepmonster, Brink, Body Chemistry, and Alligator. Her theater credits are extensive due to her parents being professional actors who had owned and operated theatres.

Riker moved to Los Angeles to join The Bold and the Beautiful from New York, where she was working off-Broadway. Some of Riker’s notable theater stints include Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, at the Geffen Playhouse and in the lead role as “The Marquise de Merteuil” in Les Liaisons Dangereuses at the Blank Theatre.

Soapdom congratulates Riker in landing this pivotal role.
