As the action begins, Michael pleads with Daniel to let him handle anything pertaining to Deacon Sharpe from now on.  However well meaning Michael may be, Daniel flat out refuses to back down when it means he could end up in prison. Speaking of Deacon, Amber turns down his proposal and threatens to go to the police with everything she knows. Daniel is furious when he learns that Michael is letting Amber move in with him. Later, Lauren gets Michael to agree to no longer take cases that involve family or friends.

Meanwhile, Kevin confronts Ryder about his affiliation to Deacon, demanding to know the truth. Ryder confesses to killing Balfour, claiming that it was because he abused him. Kevin is affected by Ryder's story and then learns that Ryder's father's name was Tom and wonders if it's possible that they had the same father. Kevin asks Ryder to turn

himself in and Michael will do everything he can for him. Later, Amber comes to a decision on how to save Daniel. Michael is stuck between a rock and hard place when Kevin informs him that promised Ryder that Michael would represent him pro bono if he turned himself in. Daniel admits to Lauren that he wants Amber to move back in with him but she informs him that it may be too late. In Deacon's suite, Amber agrees to marry him as long as he gets Daniel off, free and clear.

On the other side of Genoa City, Billy and Mac are thrown when they run into Chloe and Chance on a date. Chance offers to let them join him and Chloe. Mac graciously accepts the invitation. Later, Chloe is fawning over Chance and she just can't help but wonder if Billy is jealous. One thing is certain. Billy is definitely uncomfortable.  Yet, Billy and Chloe continue to argue, making it clear to both Chance and Mac that the evening is over. Mac and Billy go home to make love, not wanting to discuss the obvious tension between Chloe and Billy. Mac becomes uneasy when Billy won't discuss his issues regarding Chloe with her. Meanwhile, Chloe kisses Chance but he makes it clear that as long as she is hung up on Billy nothing will ever happen between them.

Cane tries to calm Lily's fears as she prepares herself for her first day of chemotherapy.  Lily asks Cane if he will still love her when her hair starts to fall out. With Cane's help, she decides to bite the bullet. She asks Cane to help her shave her head. The tears well in Lily's eye's as Cane gently begins shaving Lily's head. Lily is thrilled when she sees herself for the first time after shaving her head, doing it on her own terms.
