Tracey Bregman (Lauren Finmore-Baldwin, Young & the Restless)

Victoria begins her morning by putting on her engagement ring and telling JT she isn’t going to be afraid anymore. The development is beautiful, her pregnancy is going well, and she is engaged and happy in her personal relationship, for once. All looks bright for Victoria. Even when she learns that Victor called in the full amount of her mother’s loan, Victoria doesn’t let it get her down. She is determined to fight when she returns to Genoa City.

Katherine and Cane are on hand to begin working closely with JT on finding the root of the kickback scam as well as ensuring what has been built is safe for the grand opening. What JT finds is more disturbing than they had thought. There are already cracks throughout the foundation, and support beams were made with concrete so light that by tapping it with a screwdriver sections crumble. Cane and Katherine are ready to act immediately, no matter the cost, to correct the poor construction.

The morning is filled with Genoa City residents filing into Clear Springs one by one. As men and women arrive each have their own agenda for the day. Sharon, Nick, and Jack have plans to work part of the time and spend quality time with Noah the rest of their visit. Nick decides to cut into his time with Noah,  so he can speak with Jack about the Ji Min murder investigation, after he finds out Jack is the main person of interest. Nick asks Lauren to watch Noah for a while so he can discuss a private matter with Jack.

Amber arrives to drop off plans to Lauren that she left behind. Amber  takes the opportunity, while Lauren is grateful she made the trip, to ask if she could be a showcase designer during the grand opening fashion show of Finmore’s. Lauren is overwhelmed as it is, but agrees to give Amber a shot. Lauren finds the company of Paul and Maggie refreshing and decides to take a break from work to go fishing with Noah, Paul, and Maggie.  While Maggie and Lauren wait on Paul and Noah, Lauren tells Maggie a story about having dinner at Paul’s mother’s house. As the story goes on, it is revealed that Lauren and Paul once lived together. When Maggie asks, Lauren is surprised that Paul didn’t tell his new girlfriend that he was once married to Lauren.

Nikki arrives with the  bad news of the loan default.  She shares it with everyone she comes in contact with. Hoping for help from Katherine or Jack to loan her the money to pay back Victor, she turns up nothing. David encourages her not to give up or look at this as failure.

With Nikki, David, Nick, Victoria, Adrian, Noah, Sharon, Jack, Katherine, Cane, JT, Lauren, Paul, Maggie, and Amber scattered throughout the city, that sits above a huge parking garage, commotion and yelling from workmen reveal the restored structures beginning to collapse. Chaos abounds, leaving bodies thrown about in a blue dust of rubble. Everything is still with the exception of a few small pebbles resting in to place. Who dodged the falling debris and who is trapped beneath it is unknown. Clear Springs lies in a morbid silence until Sharon who is trapped by concrete snaps her eyes open in terror and gasps!

Was that Sharon’s last breathe? Who has met their final moments and will not be returning to Genoa City alive? Is the tragedy over or is this just the beginning of a domino effect, resulting in more life lost and serious injury?  As news and progress on rescue attempts trickle in, you will be the first to know by checking back here daily for your Y&R Clear Springs recap.

Days of our Lives makes history with first gay male wedding

The big day finally has come! Days of our Lives made history, and it was no April fools joke. The show is known for its long standing reputation for having storylines that are firsts, or tackling controversial subjects, or going out on a limb. I mean who can forget being possessed by the devil? Well! The show just aired the first gay male wedding making the first such event in daytime television.

The story was handled impeccably, and done tastefully. The same sex relationship has been moving slowing through trials and tribulations for the last several years.

First there was the acknowledging who you are. Then the accepting, and finally the coming out. And now the jubilant wedding of the duo known as WilSon. Will Horton (Guy Wilson) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) is taking the relationship into orbit, or like the old original Star Trek show said, 'to go where no man has gone before,' at least not on a daytime drama.
