It turns out that Deacon is no fool. He soon realizes that Amber's crying was all an act but he still agrees to talk to her so he sends Amber to the bar to wait for him. Victoria emerges from the bathroom and realizes that her kissing Deacon was in the heat of the moment but it cannot go any further.

Speaking of lip locking, Colleen and JT begin to kiss more passionately as Victor's spy continues to snap photographs. As Colleen reaches for JT's belt, JT stops her realizing they can't continue.

Meantime, at the ranch, Abby is getting ready to go spend the night with Colleen when Victor says that they should all have dinner together instead. Abby senses some trouble

between Victor and Ashley and Victor reassures Abby that they will be fine. Abby shows up at Colleen's and the two discuss why JT was at the house. Colleen admits that she tried to kiss JT and that JT stopped her because he will not cheat on Victoria. Later, at the Newman Ranch, Victor and Ashley discuss their future and Victor promises that things will be different. JT and Victoria discuss their issues and Victoria lets JT know that her father is a hotspot for her.

On the other side of the city, Jana and Daniel wonder why if Deacon has the original painting, other than to get Daniel out of Amber's life, would he set Daniel up for murder. Ryder continues to explain to Kevin about killing someone and Ryder makes Kevin promise that he will not turn him in. Daniel explains the situation to Victoria and she is baffled by all Daniel is claiming about Deacon.

Shortly thereafter, Chloe and Chance arrive at dinner for their first date, both comfortable to be out together. Soon a solemn Amber shows up and Chloe introduces her to Chance. The trio discusses Chloe and Billy breaking up. Upstairs, Ryder returns and assures Deacon he has got Kevin eating out of the palm of his hand. Then it's back to Amber who goes to Deacon's room and begs him to stop going after Daniel and she promises that she will allow Deacon to have her. Just as Deacon grabs Amber, Daniel begins to bang at the hotel room door. Daniel breaks into the room and attempts to go after Deacon. A security guard and Chance enter the room. Chance arrests Daniel for disturbing the peace. Chance brings Daniel downstairs and smoothes out the situation assuring the manager that Daniel will not be causing a stir anymore. Deacon lets Amber know that the only way he will help Daniel is if Amber marries him.
