Both Soap Opera Digest and TVLine are reporting that Darnell Williams (who played Jesse Hubbard on All My Children) is heading to Genoa City. Soapdom has reached out to our contacts at Y&R and are awaiting their reply. We hope they have a comment.
This is not a surprising move, especially as All My Children's former casting director, Judy Blye Wilson, is now casting for Young and the Restless.
In the meantime, if true, this could prove great fun for fans of All My Children's Jesse and Angie, as Debbi Morgan (who played Angie on AMC) has been with Y&R in the role of Harmony for a few months.
The big question remains, however. Just because Williams could be on his way to Genoa City, doesn't necessarily mean he will end up with Debbi Morgan (Harmony), or does it? Harmony is not romantically involved at the moment, so the timing could be right for a hook up.
Williams and Morgan are not the first AMC castoffs that have landed in Genoa City since All My Children's cancellation. Melissa Claire Egan (ex Annie, AMC) is also now on The Young and the Restless.
Williams was one of three All My Children stars to formally agree to go online with AMC when Prospect Park originally announced its plans to take both All My Children and One Life to Live to the internet and their THE Online Network. The other two AMC stars that almost immediately agreed to head online with Prospect Park were Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and Lindsay Hartley (Cara).
