Ex-AMC actor joins the cast of Missing

AMC’s Mark Consuelos Joins Lifetime Television Drama Series 'Missing'

Mark Consuelos will join the cast of Missing (previously titled 1-800 MISSING) as a free-thinking FBI agent, when the drama returns for its second season in July, it was announced  by Kelly Goode, Senior Vice President, Programming, Lifetime Television.

The one-hour drama from Lions Gate Television stars Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill Vol. 1, Soul Food) as Nicole Scott, a hard-nosed FBI agent who'll bend any rule to solve a missing person's case, Caterina Scorsone (Once a Thief, Power Play) as Jess Mastriani, a novice agent whose psychic abilities have a proven track record in solving many open cases and Justin Louis (Hidden
Hills, Dawn of the Dead) as John Pollack, a brilliant, shrewd and driven
leader of the FBI's Alternative Methods Task Force.

Consuelos plays Antonio Cortez, a charming, strong, and extremely
intelligent FBI Special Agent and former colleague of Nicole's.  But there is
much more to this attractive Evidence Specialist than just analyzing DNA.
Antonio comes from the streets, which gives him his drive and carefully-hidden
needs to succeed in this highly competitive field.  He is a loyal team member
who speaks his mind freely and will stop at nothing to find missing people.

In making the announcement Goode remarked: "Mark joins an already stellar
cast led by Vivica and Caterina, and his character brings a new dynamic to the
equation with three strong-willed personalities.  In particular, there's a
natural chemistry brewing between Antonio and Nicole that will lead to some
sizzling on screen moments during the second season."
Born in Zaragoza, Spain, Consuelos grew up in Lebanon, Illinois and Tampa,
Florida. Consuelos' early acting credits include Hello, Dolly at the
Lookinghouse Glass Playhouse in Illinois and guest appearances on television
shows such as Fortune Hunter and SeaQuest.  He has appeared off-Broadway in Boy's Life by Howard Korder, Orphans by Lyle Kessler and the Penguin Repertory production of One Shot, One Kill by Richard Vetere.

However, as we all know, it is for his role on the long-running soap opera favorite, All My Children, for which Consuelos garnered the most attention. Playing Mateo Santos, he joined the cast in February 1995, where he also met his future real-life wife, actress Kelly Ripa. 

Consuelos can also be seen in the upcoming Miramax's WWII action film, The Great Raid, which he shot on location in Australia while on a leave of absence from AMC.
