Dear Suds Buds,

Happy Thanksgiving!  It’s turkey week in real life and in soapdom and as a result, there will be a bunch of pre-emptions so that the networks can deliver their holiday programming.  Here’s the way it’s shaped up:

All My Children and General Hospital  are pre-empted on Thursday and Friday this week.  One Life to Live is pre-empted on Friday, but will air a special repeat of the 35th Anniversary episode on Thursday.

As the World Turns, the Bold and the Beautiful and Guiding Light are pre-empted on Thursday and Friday this week.  The Young and the Restless is pre-empted on Thursday, but on Friday, Y&R will air a repeat of Dru and Neil’s tropical wedding.  This episode originally aired in December 2003.

In more CBS news, ATWT's Martha Byrne (Lily) and Michael Park (Jack) will be featured as celebrity guest hosts during this year's CBS All American Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 25th from 9AM - Noon. Martha will be featured at 9 AM and Michael at 11 AM.  And Guiding Light's Kim Zimmer (Reva) will be featured as a celebrity guest host during this year's CBS All American Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday, November 25th at 10 AM.

Days of our Lives and Passions are pre-empted on Thursday.  But don’t forget to tune in to see the Macy*s Thanksgiving Day Parade on NBC. Stars from the soaps will be live in New York for the festivities.  Silvana Arias (Paloma), Richard Steinmetz (Martin) and Eva Tamargo (Pilar) will be representing PASSIONS in this year’s spectacular Macy’s Day Parade.  The good news for NBC daytime fans, both Days and Passions will air on Friday as usual.

And get this:  Watch for Days of our Lives Martha Madison (Belle) and Kyle Brandt (Philip) riding in The 73rd Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade, Sunday, November 28th live on KTLA5 in LA. Broadcast times: 5-7pm and immediately following at 7-9pm.  It will air 3x again before Christmas and also nationally on Tribune Broadcasting stations including WGN-Chicago and WPIX-NY.

Just to be totally sure, we recommend that you check local listings in your area in regard to all pre-emptions.

Meantime, you can still catch a glimpse of your favorite soap stars on Soap Week on Street Smart this week.  Stars from General Hospital, Days of our Lives, Passions, and Young and the Restless will compete for their favorite charites. Check out  the first look photos of Soap Week on Street Smarts right here at Soapdom.com.

I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you a very happy Thanksgiving.   May we remember in our blessings the soldiers fighting for freedom, our friends and family, and everyone who has helped us live our lives and given us joy this past year.    Gobble gobble everyone.  Happy Thanksgiving!

But that’s what I think.  What do you guys think?  Tell me your thoughts on the Criticize the Critic boards.

Til the top of next week,

Days of our Lives Casey Moss and Eyes of One at the Whisky

What a fun night out! Casey Moss (JJ, Days of our Lives) and his band, Eyes of One, hit West Hollywood last night for their first ever live performance and where better to hit the ground running than at the world famous Whisky A-GoGo. The Whisky, home to such top bands as Van Halen, The Doors, The Byrds, Neil Young, Steven Stills, Buffalo Springfield, The Lovin' Spoonful, Neil Diamond and many others, is now also the venue that debuted the amazing singing talents of Moss and the musical stylings of his band.
