Dear Suds Buds,

The internet and word of mouth are both extremely powerful tools.  Especially when you’re an actor on recurring status who loves the show and wants to work more, or if you’re an actor’s fan base and want to see more of your favorite actor on your favorite soap.

Last week, Soapdom was contacted by two factions hoping to up the air time for two such actors.  It seems that Y&R’s David Shark Fralick (Larry) had personally gotten some wonderful feedback about scenes he’d taped opposite Sharon Case which aired last Thursday, and he shared this with an organization here in LA called CineWomen.   I have a friend who is a member CineWomen and she passed on Fralick’s comments to us at Soapdom.  According to Fralick, he’s in the dark about his next episode until he gets a call from the producers placing him on “hold.”  This means that he should not accept other work for certain days unless he notifies Y&R first, giving them “first right of refusal,” to book him for the “hold” days or let him loose to take other work. He misses being more involved with Y&R.

Y&R fans, if you’d like to see more of Larry in Genoa City, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and let them know, cos he’d certainly like to entertain you on a more regular basis.  You should also send snail mail.  Click here for snail mail address.

And it seems as if The Netherlands contingent of Dan McVicar fans (Clarke, B&B), who was recently placed on recurring, are petitioning to get the actor more air time.  They write:

“We have started a campaign to get Daniel McVicar a.k.a. Clarke Garrison more airtime and a storyline of his own on the Bold & the Beautiful.  People can send their messages of support to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it till June 30, 2005 at the latest. Suggestions for storylines for Clarke can also be sent there!  Thanks in advance and we are looking forward to hearing from you. In the meantime we invite you to come and take a look at our website Sincerely, Anita van Duijnen and Anita Tax, The Netherlands

So, all you B&B fans, be sure to write to A & A and tell them why you want more Dan McVicar (Clarke) on B&B.
