Dear Suds Buds,

Since Soapdom’s early days, when we were still called Turtle-Run.com, we’ve had a feature called StarDay. It’s where we get out and spend some time with a soap star as they pursue some very un-soapy endeavor.  In fact, this week, I’ll be hanging with GH’s Ingo Rademacher (Jax) as he gears up (pun intended) to participate in the annual Toyota Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix in Long Beach, CA.

Which is precisely why I have a bone to pick with GH’s Wally Kurth. He stole Soapdom’s StarDay premise!  Well, I can’t be certain it was a deliberate steal, but once, at a GH fan weekend, I mentioned to his fan club president that it would be fun to do a StarDay with Wally Kurth and his band, Kurth & Taylor.  That was maybe three years ago and as there is always so much to do around here, I got too busy to pursue it further. Then, low and behold, one day I get a press release from SOAPnet announcing a new show, hosted by Wally Kurth called 1 Day With… where he spends the day with a soap star doing something un-soapy.  Sounds an awful lot to me like Soapdom’s StarDay.  Curious, no?  At any rate, one thing I can say for Mr. Kurth. Great minds think alike.

Speaking of Soapdom’s StarDay, we will have tons of coverage on Kurth’s castmate, Ingo Rademacher, at the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Grand Prix this year so stay tuned.
