Hi Suds Buds:

Last night I had the pleasure to attend the very special Evening with the Stars held at the Ivar in Hollwood, CA to benefit the Desi Geestman Foundation, “Touching the Lives of Children with Cancer.”  The 2003 event hosted over 400 guests, including over 41 soap celebrities and other stars.

We got to chat with Sean Kanan (Deacon, B&B) who shared some secrets about his upcoming storyline!

We talked with Vanessa Marcil (ex Brenda, GH; Sam, Las Vegas premiering this fall on NBC) about her very first movie, a short called “Nana to the Beach” and more.

We nabbed Kirsten Storms (Belle, DOOL), Alexis Thorpe (Cassie, DOOL), Greg Vaughn (Lucky, GH), Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth, GH), Michael Saucedo (ex Juan, GH),  and Chad Brannon (Zander, GH) and found out what their fantasy storylines would be.

We rubbed elbows with Winsor Harmon and Ronn Moss (Thorne and Ridge, B&B) and got to appreciate up close just how adorable Maurice Benard’s (Sonny, GH) dimples are in person.

Did I mention we got some great photos of the stars?  Well, we did!  Our coverage of the event will be online later this week. Stay tuned.

The event, a star studded cocktail party fundraiser, where fans got to meet and shake hands with their favorite day-time celebrities to support the Desi Geestman Foundation (DGF) was hosted to honor Desi Geestman, a young girl with unflinching spirit who was diagnosed with cancer in 1997 and succumbed to her illness in 1999.  Her memory lives on in the Desi Geestman Foundation, carrying her spark and spreading her spirit of life to those it touches.  The Desi Geestman Foundation is a valued member of the Pediatric Committee of City of Hope.  Find out more.
