Dear Suds Buds,
Last week was a huge one in soaps as the Daytime Emmy nominations were announced. Did any of you get up early to see them announced live on The Today Show? I was up and out. My marketing consulting business beckoned and I had to be at a client’s office instead. Don’t you just hate it when work gets in the way of work?
At any rate, the nominations are now a given. Did your favorites get a nod? We noticed some dissention on the ATWT boards at Soapdom. Fans were not happy with the results. What about DOOL? They only received three nominations total. And the one they received for acting is for an actor that was the first killed off in the now infamous Salem Stalker storyline – James Reynolds (Abe). All this Emmy buzz brings me to the Soapdom Cybby Awards. We are nominating now for the Fun Categories. If you want to see your favorites on the ballot this year, you need to nominate them. If you want to make sure that your favorites do make the ballot, spread the word on the Cybby Awards nominating process by posting on whatever message boards or email lists in which you participate, in addition to Soapdom. The more fans for your favorites nominate in the Cybby Awards Fun Categories, the more chance your favorites will have to get on the ballot!
