Premiering on SoapCenter, Monday, April 30, 2001Josh Duhamel (Leo, AMC) Hard to believe that it has been more than a year since Emmy-nominated daytime neophyte Josh Duhamel joined the cast of AMC as the conniving (but charming) Leo DuPres. How has Josh's life changed? What's the best part about being a soap star? Has he made any mistakes? These and other questions are answered when SoapCenter visits Josh one year later. "The Emmy nomination has definitely been the biggest surprise for me," the actor tells us. "I had specific goals that I wanted to reach when I came (to AMC). I wanted to get nominated for an Emmy just to prove to people that I'm not some model trying to act."
Adrianne Zucker (Nicole, DOOL) Go horseback riding with Zucker! Plus, get the complete scoop on her riding prowess when you hear from Ari's trainer who has known the soap vixen since she was a young girl. "I get such an adrenaline rush from jumping and competing," Zucker says. "I love my horse. I love my friends out here. It's real, it's honest, it's fun!"
Beth Chamberlain (Beth, GL) Join special contributor, Mimi Torchin, as she welcomes this smokey-voiced actress into her home for a freewheeling conversation about her life and her character that takes a heartwarming turn. "I think (Beth) is clear when she looks at Edmund," Chamberlain says of her character's love interest. "Her role is to protect Edmund, but also to sometimes protect the world FROM Edmund!"
Emmy Spotlight No. 5 You'll find out everything you need to know about the nominees for Outstanding Lead Actor when you meet Tom Eplin, Jon Hensley (Jake and Holden, ATWT), David Canary (Adam/Stuart, AMC), Peter Bergman (Jack, Y&R), and John McCook (Eric, B&B). According to McCook, "The two best things you could have as an actor on television are: a long-running show, which I have, and an Emmy nomination, which I now have! I'm not certain what would feel better than this!"
Behind the Scenes at SoapCity's Wheel of Fortune Week With over a dozen of the soaps' biggest stars in attendance, SoapCenter was on the set of the hit syndicated game show as the stars spun the famous wheel to raise money for charity. There are interviews with Kim Zimmer, Lauren Koslow, Lynn Herring, Scott Reeves, Jay Kenneth Johnson and Adrienne Frantz. "I'm very nervous, there's ONE bankrupt on the wheel, and ONE loose turn," Lynn Herring (Lucy, PC) says, "I'm scared to death. I'd rather do Shakespeare in the Park than watch my wheel go bankrupt!"
Profile Michael E. Knight (Tad, AMC) Everyone knows the TV character Tad Martin on AMC, but get ready for an intimate look at the beloved funnyman AWAY from the set. What are his favorite TV shows? What are his hopes, dreams and fears? And what foods do he and superstar wife (Catherine Hickland, Lindsay, OLTL) share in bed? You'll find out in this "can't miss" segment. "I just happened to get this job when I was 23 years old, and for 10 years I didn't know how lucky I was to have it," Knight says. "And now, at this age, I know exactly how lucky I am to have it. I go home in a cab saying, 'OH thank you God!'"
