Hi Suds Buds!
Days of Our Lives is certainly going all out for the coronation of Princess Greta Von Amberg! In fact, Victoria Wyndham, who we reported last week would be playing the role of Lady Sheraton, will no longer appear in that role. Instead, Lesley-Anne Down (Sunset Beach) will join Ian Buchanan (The Bold & the Beautiful, General Hospital) as Lady and Lord Sheraton. Since stars from all three networks appearing on Days of Our Lives is such a major casting coup, here again is the who's who of guest stars --

Roscoe Born (As the World Turns, One Life to Live, All My Children, Santa Barbara); Tyler Christopher (General Hospital); Bobbie Eakes (The Bold and the Beautiful); David Forsyth (All My Children, Another World, As the World Turns, SoapCenter); Maeve Kinkead (Guiding Light, Another World); Dorothy Lyman (Bold and the Beautiful, All My Children, Another World); Kathleen Noone (Sunset Beach, All My Children); and John Reilly (Sunset Beach, General Hospital). Ian Buchanan (The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital) and Lesley-Anne Down (Sunset Beach).
The stars play guests at the coronation of Princess Greta Von Amburg (Julianne Morris) who will be crowned by Austin Reed (Austin Peck), an event which is the culmination of a four-month story arc. In Virtual Eden, with Austin by her side, Greta fought for her crown in an adventure that included life-threatening challenges, gladiatorial combat and featured exciting special effects. But the adventure will not end in Eden. In true Days of our Lives fashion, danger lurks just around the corner for many of the Princesss honored guests, with three of them meeting their death in events that unfold in the following week. Stay tuned!

Lisa Peluso joins One Life to LiveYes, the rumors are true. ABC has confirmed that Lisa Peluso, (Another World, Loving) will replace Rebecca Boyd as Gina, a woman from Ben's past who suddenly emerges to cause complications in the lives of Ben and Viki. See the Casting section below for her first airdate.
Your Input RequestedPeluso joining the cast of One Life to Live brings me to this question. Does it get confusing and/or frustrating when actors come and go in roles? It happens all the time, but do you really buy it? When an actor who is so well known on one show, then suddenly appears on another, does that work for you? Take Dorian Lord Hayes on OLTL as played by Robin Strasser. A wonderful, colorful character, made memorable by Strasser. Now, Strasser, who everyone is so used to seeing as Dorian Lord Hayes on OLTL, is Hecuba on Passions. Another character not to be taken lightly! Do you buy her as Hecuba. Despite her appearing in this new role, do you still think of her first and foremost as Dorian? Lisa Peluso played a great character both on Loving and on Another World. Will you buy her as yet someone else completely new without comparing her work on the other shows? Were you able to accept Linda Dano as Rae Cummings without first and always thinking of her as Felicia from Another World? If someone like Michael E. Knight (Tad, AMC) suddenly appeared as a restaurant proprietor on Young & the Restless, would you buy it, or would he always be AMC's Tad to you? Is Peter Reckell always and forever DOOL's Bo Brady, or would you buy him as a despicable villain on Guiding Light?
Please post your thoughts on this issue on the Turtle Run Message Boards in the Criticize the Critic folder. Really would love to know your thinking on this! Thanks. :o)
