Chrystee Pharris Weds Tron Larkins in Las Vegas
(SEPTEMBER 29, 2003 LOS ANGELES, CA)Actress Chrystee Pharris (married her junior high school sweetheart, Tron Larkins on Friday, August 29, 2003 in an intimate ceremony among family and friends in their hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ms. Pharris, who plays the contract role of Simone Russell on NBC’s Emmy® Award winning daytime drama PASSIONS, will change her name to Chrystee Pharris-Larkins. Her other credits include guest appearances on Sister, Sister, Moesha, Kenan & Kel, MTV’s Spyder Web and a recurring part on General Hospital. Raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Chrystee is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, MA.
The groom, Tron Larkins, is a singer/songwriter and is a member of the new group Plus 3. Additionally, Larkins is the creator of the clothing line “Something Soft.” He attended Akron University.
Mr. and Mrs. Larkins will reside in Los Angeles, CA.
Y&R's Victoria Rowell Delivers Keynote Speech
Victoria Rowell (Drucilla, Y&R) headed to Washington, D.C. on September 26 to deliver the keynote address at the Congressional Black Caucus' Health Braintrust (CBC-HBT) health forum. The theme of the forum was "Empowering all of our Children: Meeting the Healthcare Challenges in Foster Care."
The event is part of the Congressional Black Caucus's 33rd annual legislative conference, titled "Collective Leadership - Challenging a Bold New World." She will also spend time with Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald (D-CA), and emcee a reception, thanking the congresswoman's constituents and supporters of the 37th District.
Before heading back to Los Angeles, she made her final appearance on Capitol Hill at the Angels in Adoption Award Celebration with actor Bruce Willis and Muhammad and Lonnie Ali on September 30, 2003.
Having spent eighteen years in foster care, Victoria is a passionate voice for children like herself. In 1990, she founded the Rowell Foster Children's Positive Plan, which enriches foster children through artistic and athletic expression.
