Passions Fans Invited to Dig for Kids with Galen this Friday

Did you know that Galen Gering (Luis. PAS) is a former Pro-Am Beach Volleyball player?  Well he is!  And he invites you to meet him at "THE DIG FOR KIDS Winter Warmth Celebration 2003" Charity Event on Friday, December 5 from 6:30 to 11:30 p.m. at SANGRIA in Hermosa Beach, CA.

DIG FOR KIDS was founded in the spring of 2000 by Professional Beach Volleyball Player and Olympic Gold Medallist Eric Fonoimoana after he participated in many volleyball clinics and learned of the large disparity that existed in resources for youth athletic programs in disadvantaged communities.  With the recent success of the foundation's first pilot program conducted in Carson, CA and Eric's success in winning the Olympic Gold Medal, Dig for Kids has become a reality and the organization has gained both national and international sponsorship and recognition for its efforts.  In addition to Galen and Eric, other sports and entertainment celebrities will be present including Albert Hannemann, the 2002 Hermosa Volleyball Open winner and Dane Blanton, the 2002 Sydney, Australia Gold Medal Winner.

The Dig for Kids Winter Warmth Celebration 2003 has dinner, dancing, casino games, a silent auction and raffles.  A PASSIONS gift basket, including a certificate good for a tour of the Passions set and lunch with a Passions actor, will be part of the silent auction.  Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 at the door.  To purchase tickets call (310) 350-5512.  For more information on Dig for Kids visit www.digforkids.com.
