Passions Andrea Evans Seeks Help From Winona Ryder
Soap opera star Andrea Evans, who plays Rebecca Hotchkiss on the NBC-TV daytime drama “Passions,” has sent a letter to actress Winona Ryder trying to enlist her help for this Sunday’s Walk for Hope to Cure Breast Cancer, which will take place near the City of Hope’s facility in Duarte, California on the outskirts of Los Angeles.
For the past three years, Ms. Evans has served as the Celebrity Ambassador for the City of Hope’s Walks and has been instrumental in raising over $7 million in the fight against breast cancer. She has a particular affinity for the cause as her mother is a breast cancer survivor.
Knowing that Ms. Ryder had done community service work at the City of Hope earlier this year, and knowing that she is scheduled to be in the Los Angeles area this weekend to host an art exhibit which benefits another cause, Andrea sent a note to Winona’s public relations representative in the hope that she would join her in leading this year’s Los Angeles area Walk.
“I have no idea if Ms. Ryder’s schedule will even permit her to participate, but I had heard that her involvement with the City of Hope had been an amazingly positive experience for her and I’m sure that if she is able to join us, it would be of great aid in helping to make this our most successful event yet.
