From Talk Show Host to Salem Phys Ed Teacher
On Monday, February 9, 2004, Sharon Osbourne will appear on Days of Our Lives as Pam, a butchy phys ed teacher who offers a scared Sami lodgings in her tent.
With no teleprompter to guide her, Osbourne took an old-fashioned approach to memorizing her lines. "I had them written on the palm of my hand!"
But Osbourne doesn't do Days without getting a behind-the-scenes peek of her soap scenario to share her viewers on The Sharon Osbourne Show. She taped her DOOL episode the week of January 26, 2004 and brought a camera crew with her. This Friday, Feburary 6 on "The Sharon Osbourne Show" (syndicated, check listings) Sharon will show footage from her set visit and give her audience a behind-the-scenes tour of the Days studio--including interviews with some of her favorite cast members! Eric Winter (Rex) acts as her tour guide and Sharon catches up with the boxer puppy she gave him on her show--he's a big dog now!
On working as a castmember on DOOL, Sharon admits that it is not as easy as it looks. "You don't get a chance to do it again if you make a mistake," she says of her experience. An admitted Days fan, Osbourne has already climbed into bed — on her talk show, that is — with several of the soap's hunks. And now that her gabfest is coming to a close, she wouldn't mind sticking around Salem. Asked if she would return to her cameo role, Osbourne replies, "Absolutely!"

Tune In Alert ~ AMC's Fusion Fab Four on the View and more!
All My Children's Rebecca Budig (Greenlee) and her Fusion cosmetics cohorts — Alicia Minshew (Kendall), Terri Ivens (Simone) and Amelia Heinle (Mia) — are stepping out of character to rival the Fab Five as daytime drama's first reality makeover team.
The Fusion Four, as they've been dubbed, have made over a mother of three and are revealing the dynamic results on The View February 5, 2004.
"Alicia is our health and fitness person... Terri does fashion, and Amelia is our beauty expert," reveals an ABC spokesperson, adding that Budig rounds out the quartet as the lifestyle coach and the segment's host.
Soap fans may think their favorite stars live a glamorous life style, but on February 5 on The View, the Fusion Four will prove that they are quite economical, each having discovered affordable ways to achieve their personal style. As the brains and beauty behind their fictional Pine Valley cosmetics company, Fusion, these women -- both on and off camera -- have a special bond and need to take care of themselves and have slowly become experts in health and fitness, lifestyle, beauty and fashion. On February 5th, they are put to the test as they work their magic on one lucky viewer who will receive the full Fusion Four makeover with sensational results.
ABC plans to continue the Fusion Four's mission with future segments on the The View, as well as other shows. ABC is also getting its guys in on the act. All My Children's Cameron Mathison (Ryan) and Aiden Turner (Aidan) and One Life to Live's Jay Wilkinson (Riley) will pair up as the MENtors and teach an ordinary Joe to be camera ready.
"Any woman who's been gaga for these guys can have her husband made over to look like them, and then she can say she's sleeping with a soap star," the rep says with a chuckle. The segment will air on Living it Up with Ali and Jack! at the end of February.
Speaking of the Hunks of ABC Daytime -- Three viewers had the chance to make this Valentine's Day memorable by having breakfast with an ABC Daytime soap star in a posh New York City hotel suite and enjoyed breakfast with Cameron Mathison (Ryan, AMC), Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio, OLTL), and Ted King (Lorenzo, GH). In addition, they joined The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck for a day of pampering and spa treatments, as they prepared for their special moring. The three lucky winners will appear on The View on Friday, February 13, 2004 to share their stories -- along with Cameron Mathison (Ryan,AMC), Nathaniel Marston (Al, OLTL) and Ted King (Lorenzo, GH)!
