May 20, 2003, Burbank, CA – Top-rated daytime drama Days of our Lives and publisher St. Martin’s Press are pleased to announce a promotional sweepstakes that will run this spring and award a fan the chance of a lifetime.  This first-time collaboration will award one lucky winner and their guest an all-expense paid trip to Hollywood, a tour of the set of Days of our Lives and the opportunity to meet available cast members.

Days of our Lives plays a central role in Jane Heller’s latest novel, Lucky Stars, a comedic story that captures the joys and agonies of the mother-daughter relationship, all wrapped up in a glamorous Hollywood package.  “[Heller] delivers her story in fresh language, with singular energy… spirited, effortless entertainment with a winning premise and plenty of references to Hollywood stars and the latest TV shows.”  -- Publishers Weekly

The public is invited to enter the sweepstakes between May 19 – June 30, 2003, no purchase necessary.  Entry forms will be available at the Lucky Stars display at Waldenbooks stores nationwide. Participants may also enter by logging onto www.daysofourlives.com or www.stmartins.com.  Internet entries will be accepted through September 15th, 2003 and a randomly chosen winner will be drawn on October 1, 2003.

Jane Heller boasts nine earlier books that have explored women’s lives and the detours they take on the way to finding love, success and happiness.  In 2003 Heller’s novels had four movie sales: Lucky Stars (Lakeshore Entertainment), Name Dropping (Miramax), The Secret Ingredient (Artist’s Production Group) and Female Intelligence (CBS-TV).  Her other titles include Cha, Cha, Cha, The Club, Infernal Affairs, Princess Charming, Crystal Clear and Sis Boom Bah.

Days of our Lives, created the late Ted Corday, Irna Philips and Allan Chase, premiered on November 8, 1965 was the first daytime drama to be broadcast in color.
