AMC's Susan Lucci Makes Deal with Wal-Mart

Blast from the past: Lucci joins forces with retail giant.

NEW YORK, NY, Oct. 6, 2004

SL Enterprises of New York, Ltd, the company started by Emmy Award winning actress Susan Lucci announced today a partnership with Wal-Mart to sell her Fifi-Award nominated fragrance Invitation on the shelves of Wal-Mart Stores.
This is the first time SL Enterprises has allowed any company to sell Susan Lucci products directly to the consumer through traditional buying methods.Invitation has previously been sold through HSN and, and through Susan Lucci's own personal website,
In 1999, she created the Susan Lucci Invitation, a feminine, sexy, and
sheer exotic floral fragrance and in 2001, a fresh, sparkling fragrance,
LaLucci. Both fragrances were finalists for the renowned Fifi Award, and only Invitation thus far will be available at Wal-Mart.
"We are excited about this new venture," said Helmut Huber, Lucci's husband. "Our ability to bring Susan's successful fragrance Invitation directly to her fans at Wal*Mart is a happy marriage for all of us."
Invitation is now available in 2,300 Wal*Mart stores throughout the United States.  A promotional point-of-purchase display is planned for November, to be supported by select in store appearances by Ms. Lucci.
In January 2005, Susan Lucci will be honored with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This honor is the icing on the cake of an incredible career as she celebrates 35 years as Erica Kane on All My Children. All of America cheered in May 1999 when Susan Lucci won the Emmy Award for "Best Actress."
She has also become a successful entrepreneur. In 1999, she launched the
Susan Lucci Collection of hair care products as well as creating the feminine, sexy, sheer and exotic fragrance, Invitation. In 2001, Susan introduced LaLucci, a fresh and sparkling fragrance.
