Bouncing baby Joaquin weighs in at 8 lbs, 5 oz. Congrats

Mark Consuelos (ex Mateo, AMC) and Kelly Ripa (Hayley, AMC and co-host Live with Regis and Kelly)FEBRUARY 25, 2003, NYC  AMC's Kelly Ripa (Hayley), and co-host of the nationally syndicated daytime show “LIVE with Regis & Kelly,” gave birth to a son in New York on Monday, February 24 at 9:31 a.m. Ripa, who has also been starring on ABC’s “All My Children” for 12 years with her husband, Mark Consuelos, revealed the news today in a live phone interview from the hospital on “LIVE With Regis & Kelly.” The baby, Joaquin Consuelos, weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces. The couple will choose a middle name at a later time.

“Mark and I are so excited to share our news with everyone,” Ripa said. “We are the proud parents of a healthy baby boy! We can’t wait to bring Joaquin home to meet all of our friends and family.”

Ripa is taking a maternity leave and will return to “LIVE” at the beginning of May. The couple, who married May 1, 1996, also has a 5 ½ year old son, Michael and a 1 ½ year-old daughter, Lola.

Days of our Lives Guy Wilson: playing Will is a dream come true

The day Guy Wilson stepped in to play Will Horton, a beloved gay character on Days of our Lives, it was a day that his dream came true. "Oh without a doubt. I remember driving in and pulling into the lot. I kept thinking this is cool!" Wilson said. "Then when I got on the soundstage with the cameras and the lights started going on, I was like getting a little nervous. It was all surreal."

Did he have reason to be nervous? Of course! Not only is Will a coveted role to the show, but the part was previously played by Chandler Massey, who has won two Emmy Awards portraying Will. But for Wilson it is a job going to work. Massey left this past August to go back to college.
