Your fan fiction can come to life.

You ask for it.  They write it.  They shoot it.  You watch it during the first ever, "Fan February," and have a chance to visit the set of your favorite ABC soap!

The celebration begins this November, and ABC Daytime wants you to tell them your idea for a scene that ABC will write.  It's that elusive scene that you've always wanted to see!  But never did.  Until now.

Beginning November 9-10 at the 7th Annual Super Soap Weekend at the Disney-MGM Studios, fans will have the opportunity to tell ABC Daytime camera crews what moments they would like to see aired on special episodes of All My Children, One Life to Live and General Hospital in February.  Additionally, from November 18-28, you can go to ABC.com and submit your ideas.  But here's the catch.  You have to express yourself in ten words or less!

Each show will review the entries and produce a collection of scenes to air in a one-hour Fan February show.  The Fan Fantasy episodes will then air as follows:

  • All My Children  --  Wednesday, February 12, 2003
  • One Life to Live --  Wednesday, February 19, 2003
  • General Hospital -- Wednesday, February 26, 2003

Or, on One Life to Live, do the fans what to see what happened on Todd and Blair's wedding night? How about All My Children's Erica Kane having a date with Tad Martin?  I think it will be a lot of fun to think about and watch!"

All qualified entries will be automatically entered into a random drawing sweepstakes for a chance to win the grand prize of a trip to the winner's favorite ABC soap.  At the end of each Fan Fantasy Episode, viewers will be directed on how to vote, via cellular text messaging, or through ABC.com, on which scenes they enjoyed the most.

As an added treat, fans will also get to hear from their favorite soap stars about their favorite scenes as part of the Fan February celebration.

Days of our Lives Melissa Archer says Serena is sort of interested in herself

A veteran of daytime television Melissa Archer, who now plays Serena Mason on Days of our Lives, said that playing the role is just another day and it's just going to work.

Archer played Natalie Buchanan on One Life To Live for ten years until the show was cancelled in 2011.  She then switched to the now defunct online version.

"I look at this job as going to work," Archer said. "I love what I do. Serena is so much fun, and she has a lot going for her. She does many things and is sort of interested in herself."
