Susan Lucci (Erica, All My Children)Never underestimate the far-reaching effects of soapdom.  Hip-hop frontman will.i.am of the group, Black Eyed Peas, announces in Entertainment Weekly his affection for one of daytime's leading ladies.  In the article, the Grammy-winning artist names Susan Lucci (Erica, All My Children) as his dream girl. "She's hot. On (the single) 'I Got It from My Mama,' that's the kind of mama I'm talking about."  This is not the first time, however, AMC has been affiliated with the rap world.  Back in 1982, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five's groundbreaking 'The Message' included the following lyrical reference: "My brothers doing fast on my mothers t.v./Says she watches too much, is just not healthy/All my children in the daytime/Dallas at night/Can't even see the game or the Sugar Ray fight/Bill collectors they ring my phone..."  Contributed by LDB

Wednesday, September 26, 7:30 PM, Borders Hollywood, 1501 Vine Street, (323) 463-8519. Contributed by McM

Kelley Menighan Hensley and Jon Hensley (Emily & Holden, ATWT)According to SOD, Kelley Menighan Hensley returned to ATWT last week to screen test with all of the Chris Hughes hopefuls. (Dylan Bruce won the role. See ATWT's casting on Soapdom). The screen testing behind her, she is now reporting back to work fulltime after a three month maternity leave. "The idea of going back to work is a little intimidating at this juncture, but I will manage. I have 21 scenes!" grins the actress, who gave birth to third child, Georgia Grace (they call her "Gigi") on June 28.  "Once she got here, in all honesty, I haven't even thought about work. I don't know what that tells me. I'm reserving all of my judgment because I realize my daughter is only nine weeks old at this time. Your perspective changes and hopefully I'll get back into a rhythm of work and I'll love who I'm working with and I'll still get to work with Grayson [McCouch, Dusty]. Hopefully all those things that I loved about work will be there when I get back. I'm banking on it."  She's also been catching up with the show. "I slowly see the strife between Holden and Lily, obviously, because I love to watch Jonny [Hensley, Holden, her husband] and I followed the Jack and Katie story. The whole time I'm just throwing things at the television because I want her with Brad! I think they're so good together. And put Jack back with Carly where he belongs!"  Contributed by JB

Brook Kerr (ex Whitney, Passions)Speaing of Passions, we all watched with tears in our eyes as Whitney (Brook Kerr) said her goodbyes to bff, Theresa (Lindsay Hartley) on Passions this week.  Kerr chose not to sign on with Passions on DIRECTV. Instead, she landed a lead role in a brand new HBO series called True Blood.  Unfortunately for Kerr, she shot one episode, the pilot, only to learn that the character was being written out of the series.
