Matthew Florida (ex Ford, Days of our Lives)"Finally!!!" is what Matthew Florida, (ex-Ford Decker, Days of our Lives) tells Buzz. He is referring to his upcoming guest-starring role on Cold Case. The show is set to air Oct. 26th. Florida plays the role of PFC Max Heidhorn. 57 years after his death while on shore leave, the body of long-dead Marine Jimmy Tully is found in an oil drum. "This is a role I really enjoyed playing," Florida said. "I can't wait until it airs, and I will be watching like everyone to see how well I did."  He explained that the part has its twists, like did he do it, or does he know something. "All I can say is stay tuned," he jokes.  Florida has been keeping busy in the entertainment industry. He recently completed a Hallmark film, called Love Finds a Home, where he plays a cowboy. The film is set to air in May of next year. "It's fun doing this, because it gives me a chance to be diverse. Something important in this business," Florida said.  He also has been doing the audition circuit, and enjoys the networking and meeting of people. Florida also hinted that he has heard rumors to the fact that Days of our Lives may bring him back as Ford's twin brother. Remember this is a soap? Way to go Matt. Either way, Soapdom is happy to report that things are going well.  Oh Yeah. Florida and his actress wife, recently moved to a new home and are looking forward to celebrating their son's first birthday. Contributed by MEW

Eric Martsolf (Brady, Days of our Lives)Eric Martsolf (ex Ethan, Passions, soon to be Brady Black, Days of our Lives) couldn't be happier about landing the new role.  "After over half a decade with NBC daytime, I am happy to be returning to the network as Brady Black on DOOL," Martsolf told Soapdom today.  "The show itself is a legacy, and I am anxious to get back in the saddle and have a little fun in Salem.  I am grateful to the producers for affording me this opportunity."  So are we. We can't wait to see what havoc Brady will reek on Salem this time. Stay tuned! Contributed by LMS

Sarah Michelle Gellar (ex Kendall, All My Children; ex Buffy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) has signed on to star in a half-hour, New York-set pilot for HBO. This, according to the writer of the pilot, Charles Randolph. Randolph told Variety.com that Gellar will play a young woman who has "a kind of zealous immaturity -- like a drug addict with a to-do list" in "The Wonderful Maladys," Randolph's show about three adult siblings whose parents died when they were young. According to sources, HBO reportedly plans to shoot the single-camera pilot early next year. Contributed by LMS

On Sunday, September 21, 2008, Dylan Bruce posted a note to his MySpace page thanking fans of Chris Hughes, the character he plays on As the World Turns who will soon be exiting the show, for their loyalty and support.  Titled, "Dr. Chris has left the building," Bruce goes on to say:  "I just wanted to thank all of the loyal and wonderful Chris Hughes fans. I recently filmed my last day on As the World Turns and can't stress enough how much I appreciate all of the support and kind words from the best fans in daytime. Nazanan Boniadi (Leyla, General Hospital)Newport Coast actress Nazanin Boniadi (Leyla, General Hospital) finds the feminine side of fall fashion in a feature article at Orange Coast Magazine.com. "I’ve never been one to conform to the status quo of fashion. I think it’s far more exciting to find your own sense of style and have fun in the process. It’s important to be daring and take risks, albeit classy and calculated risks. After all, that’s how some people become trend-setters, rather than followers…"  Read the entire article . As reported in Soapdom's All My Children casting news, this former General Hospital and Days of our Lives beauty is quickly becoming a genuine soap hopper!  Any guesses?  Never fear, Soapdom is here to clue you in on the details.  Emmy nominee Tamara Braun (ex-Carly, GH; ex-Ava; DAYS) will next be seen on All My Children's canvas as Reese Williams - Bianca's (Eden Riegel) latest conquest.  Reese, who is said to be an architect, will return from Paris with Bianca.  However, Binks is the first to bring everyone up to speed with her life being that she arrives in Pine Valley on October 17; Emmy winner Riegel has always welcomed and accepted return requests from the AMC brass.  Remember, she joined the show in 2000 and stayed until 2005, only to make guest appearances in both 2006 and 2007. As for Braun, this will be her first run on a New York soap opera so we hope she is warned to bring enormous amounts of sweaters and jackets to perfect the New York look so many have adapted to keep 0away the chill.  Braun's first airdate is October 30. For further information, head to Braun's official website: http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s75/shagg002/peekaboo_avi.png    Contributed by LDB

Thaao Penghlis (Tony, Days of our Lives)Days fans, heads up. Be sure to tune in to John Edward Cross Country on Saturday, September 20 at 10 pm (9pm central).  Days of our Lives' Thaao Penghlis (Tony) gets messages from his parents who, years ago, had died within the same week.  Their early lack of acceptance to Thaao’s career comes full circle during John’s one on one séance. Plus, in the New York studio, a man named Jim is psychically challenged to acknowledge a second dad… who had committed suicide. The show travels home with Jim to reconnect him to that dad and surviving extended family. Then a tumultuous mother/daughter relationship is healed from beyond. John’s psychic reading with Tina shapes the way this young mom will raise her children. John travels to visit Tina at home and evokes even stronger feelings of forgiveness. Next, John’s apparent frustration in the studio catapults a loving connection from a dad -- who died very young - to his “little girls”. John stresses that the Dad’s traumatic exit from this life shouldn’t overshadow great memories. Contributed by LMS
