Ethan and Gwen are hit hard when they learn it is Jonathan who has complications while Theresa is momentarily relieved it isn’t Little Ethan. Ethan, unaware that Little Ethan is the donor, thinks Theresa is happy that Jonathan is sick. Ethan is dumbfounded by Theresa’s reaction and tries to understand how she can be so cold. This isn’t the Theresa he fell in love with!
Arriving in the basement, Fancy is rocked by seeing Luis and Pretty kissing, demands an explanation. Luis tries to explain that Alistair put them in a horrible position, making love was the only way they would be allowed to escape. Fancy, however, can’t be consoled, is certain that Luis wanted Pretty.
Julian is shocked to find Eve passed out on her rehab bed in a drunken stupor. Just then Valerie appears in the room, having switched her identity back from Vincent. Valerie weasels her way into Julian’s life, talking about being abandoned by her parents on the holidays, wanting to be reassured about her and Julian’s baby. Julian reaffirms his commitment to help her out, telling her what a unique woman she is. Suddenly Eve bolts up telling Julian he has no idea how “unique” Valerie really is...
