LA-based rock band, Lifehouse, returns to perform on One Life to Live on Tuesday, April 13. The band will perform the hit single, "Halfway Gone," off of their latest album "Smoke & Mirrors" (released March 2 on Geffen Records). Lead singer Jason Wade, drummer Rick Woolstenhulme Jr., bassist Bryce Soderberg and guitarist Ben Carey will perform at Ultraviolet while some of Llanview's couples, including Starr and Cole (Kristen Alderson, Brandon Buddy), Langston and Markko (Brittany Underwood, Jason Tam), Jessica and Brody (Bree Williamson, Mark Lawson) and Layla and Cristian (Tika Sumpter, David Fumero), take a break from their complicated relationship troubles.

Lifehouse previously appeared on One Life to Live in February 2006, when they performed two singles from their self-titled platinum album "Lifehouse," including their record setting ballad, "You and Me," which spent more than 60 weeks on Billboard's Hot 100 chart. To date, Lifehouse has sold over 5 million albums. Their multi-platinum 2000 debut, "No Name Face," yielded a #1 alternative hit with "Hanging by a Moment," followed by 2002's "Stanley Climbfall," 2005's "Lifehouse" and 2007's "Who We Are," which included hit singles "First Time," "Whatever It Takes" and "Broken," which combined sold over three million digital downloads. "Smoke & Mirrors" marks their fifth studio album and highest chart debut of their 10-year career at #6 on the Billboard Top 200. On March 18, 2010, Lifehouse kicked off a national tour with Daughtry. Lifehouse joins Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige as musicians who have made return appearances on One Life to Live. The show sells music and has turned into a popular destination for an impressive list of music superstars that also includes the All-American Rejects, Lionel Richie with Jeremih, Frankie Negron, The Pussycat Dolls, Rachael Yamagata, Timbaland with Keri Hilson and One Republic, Nelly Furtado, Jeannie Ortega, Simply Red, Chris Botti and Erykah Badu. In one afternoon on ABC, a music act will gain broader reach than it would on any radio station in the country. Labels have realized that ABC Daytime provides an efficient way to reach its highly engaged audience of women 18-49. For the artists, an appearance on ABC Daytime affords exposure to a new audience or it can reinforce their music to their existing audience.
