Two Pasadena Soap Stars Act Out Against Breast Cancer Research

Andrea Evans (ex Rebecca, Passions'; Tina, One Life to Live)Andrea Evans (Tina, One Life to Live; ex Rebecca, Passions), LATHER (www.lather.com), the Pasadena-based skin care company, and City of Hope, a leading research and treatment center for cancer and other life-threatening diseases have teamed up to create new Sandalwood Rose Soap and a Soap for Hope gift set and are pleased to launch both products at an all-day shopping event. All proceeds from both products benefit City of Hope!

Purchase a Soap for Hope Gift Set ($20) and receive a free lip balm ($6 value)
and from 2 to 4 PM on Saturday, September 27th, you can meet Andrea Evans, and ask questions and pick up educational materials from Laura Kruper, M.D., breast cancer surgeon and assistant professor in City of Hope’s Division of Surgery from 2-4 PM

You can also sample pink snacks and refreshments made in honor of the pink ribbon, symbolizing the fight against breast cancer.

The event will be held at LATHER, 17 East Colorado Blvd., Old Town Pasadena, on Saturday, September 27 from 110 AM to 9 PM with Andrea Evans making her appearance from 2 t0 4 PM. Call 626 396-9636 for further info.

Here's why you should attend:
Because $5 from the sale of each Sandalwood Rose Soap ($8) and $12 from the sale of each Soap for Hope Gift Set ($20) will be donated to City of Hope’s distinguished breast cancer research program, which explores less-invasive surgical options, highly focused therapies, and customized treatments that may be more effective while causing fewer side effects.

And because as October is breast cancer awareness month, Andrea Evans and LATHER want to help others lead a more radiant life.

Days of our Lives Melissa Archer says Serena is sort of interested in herself

A veteran of daytime television Melissa Archer, who now plays Serena Mason on Days of our Lives, said that playing the role is just another day and it's just going to work.

Archer played Natalie Buchanan on One Life To Live for ten years until the show was cancelled in 2011.  She then switched to the now defunct online version.

"I look at this job as going to work," Archer said. "I love what I do. Serena is so much fun, and she has a lot going for her. She does many things and is sort of interested in herself."
