On St. Patty's Day everybody loves the Irish and SOAPNet is no different.  This year, SOAPNet celebrates the Ryan family’s favorite holiday, St. Patrick’s Day, by going back to where it all began.  Experience the Luck o’ the Irish, Monday, March 17, 2003 (from 1 – 4 PM ET/PT) as SOAPNet presents a Ryan’s Hope mini-marathon featuring the series’ first five episodes which premiered in 1975.

But hold on to your green beer. That's not all!

The episodes will be followed by a special installment of SoapCenter, “A Tribute to Ryan’s Hope,” which uses exclusive interviews and classic clips to trace the soap’s history from its inception in the early 1970s to its cancellation in 1989 to its rebirth on SOAPNet in 2000.

Helen Gallagher (Maeve), Bernard Barrow (Da)Former Ryan’s Hope stars including Kate Mulgrew (Mary), Ilene Kristen (Delia; Roxy, OLTL) Ron Hale (Roger) and Helen Gallagher (Maeve), fondly recall the critically acclaimed soap, and co-creators Claire Labine and Paul Avila Mayer add their own special memories.  From Frank’s fall down the stairs on the show’s first episode to Maeve’s final rendition of “Danny Boy” on the last show, “A Tribute to Ryan’s Hope” on SoapCenter recalls the laughter, tears, romance and intrigue that kept fans tuning in for almost 15 years.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with SOAPNet and Ryan’s Hope this Monday, March 17, 2003.  And have just a wee bit o’green beer for us.
