Nate Berkus (The Nate Berkus Show)In an exclusive today, B&C revealed that The Nate Berkus Show will not return in September.

"After careful consideration, we have decided that The Nate Berkus Show will not return for a third season in the fall," said Sony and Harpo in a joint statement.  "We are grateful for the hard work and heart that Nate (Executive Producer), Corin Nelson, and their entire staff have poured into the show, and we're very proud of what they've delivered."

Nate Berkus, the adorable interior designer who was a frequent guest on The Oprah Show, got his own spinoff in 2010.  But the show never attained great ratings, and speculation about its cancellation was rampant almost from the get-go.

The good news for soap fans is that The Nate Berkus Show will continue for a full second season, remaining in production and delivering all scheduled original episodes.  So, if you haven't already, don't forget to visit Nate Berkus and sign up for appearing on the show this season.  He's looking for soap fans.

"I'm incredibly proud of my hard working and talented staff, " said Berkus after the announcement today, adding, "I'm proud of the show we were able to produce every day."
