ABC's One Life to Live replacement show, The Revolution, or The Revulsion as soap fans are calling it, debuted to less than auspicious ratings on Monday, January 16.
According to TV Week, "the initial results may have the network rethinking whether it was a good idea to cancel its long-running soap operas."
Revulsion premiered to a lackluster 1.9 rating/5 share in Neilsen's 56 metered markets, TVMediaInsights.com reports. That was down from the lead-in hour (another replacement soap show, the Chew) which averaged 2.4/6.
In the same time period one year ago, One Life to Live garnered an average ratings/share of 2.3/6.
Yes, One Life to Live carried a heavier budget then this poor man's biggest loser, but do we really need another lifestyle show like this on daytime tv?
