More on Michael Easton in Llanview
Brian Gaskill to AMC? B&B?
It has been confirmed by a OLTL representitive, that Michael Easton (Caleb) has nailed a role on One Life to Live. Easton will play John McBain, a private investigator.
"Frank Valentini (OLTL's executive producer])really wanted him on the show, and he's very excited," says Easton's rep. "He's looking forward to working with one of his best friends, Kamar de los Reyes (Antonio)."
Easton, who started his daytime career on Days of Our Lives, won over a legion of devoted fans when he joined PC in 2001 as vengeful vampire Caleb. Although the character was only set to last through one book, Easton infused a human element to his immortal counterpart, and became a popular permanent fixture.? Soapdom can't forgete Easton as the well-endowed male model on the former prime time show, Ally McBeal.? Look for the actor's OLTL debut as John McBain on Oct. 1, 2003.
Now that Easton has renewed his relationship with ABC, fans are wondering if his on-screen nemesis, Brian Gaskill (Rafe), is far behind. Sources say that Gaskill has an offer on the table to return to All My Children, where he assumed the role of Bobby Warner in 1995.
Gaskill had expressed interest of returning to AMC ? even before PC's cancellation. But he's also weighing the option of staying on the West Coast and joining the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful. According to a rep for the actor, no decisions have been made, but Gaskill's choice will be tempered by the ability to pursue other projects while appearing on a soap.
An AMC spokesperson had no comment on Gaskill joining the show.
