Upon his arrival he was hired at "One Life to Live" as a writers' assistant. During his time at the show, he has served as breakdown writer and, most recently, co-head writer.

"Ron's commitment and contribution to 'One Life to Live's' writing staff makes him an excellent choice to take on head writing duties," says executive producer Frank Valentini. "He has a contemporary sensibility, a quick wit and, above all, a tremendous passion for the stories in Llanview."

The network made no mention as to what became of former head writer, Dena Higley or why they are making the switch so abruptly.
