Dano fesses up to fans.

Emmy Award Winning Actor, Talk-Show Host, Designer and Author Linda Dano to Leave OLTL

Linda Dano puts an end to the rumor mill and shares with fans her plans for the future.

New York – December 23, 2003 - As of later today, the following statement will be posted on Linda Dano’s website: www.LindaDano.com

"As many of you already know, I will not be at ABC after my current contract expires in June.  The writers are working on when and how the story of 'Dr. Rae Cummings' will wind down.

My start as an actor began on prime-time television and film  that evolved into a wonderful career on daytime television.  My 17 years as the fabulous "Felicia Gallant" were some of the happiest times in my professional life.  It's where I met many of you.  Thank you for your ongoing friendship, loyalty and love.

It's time for me to spread my wings and try new things.  My books columns and designs will always be a big part of my life but, as an actor, I'd like to explore more opportunities in talk television, theater, film and prime-time television.  Believe me when I say that I am very excited about this new chapter in my life!

I promise to keep you all posted.  Have a very Merry Christmas and a healthy and Happy New Year with your family and friends.  After seeing the children for Christmas Day, Frank and I are off to our home in Florida before I go back to work on One Life To Live on January 6th.  God Bless all of you and God Bless America."

Past Blast

50 Years of Days of our Lives ~ 50 Years of an iconic theme…

When Bobby Hart and his songwriting partner, Tommy Boyce, were commissioned to write the theme song for a brand new soap opera over 50 years ago, they had no idea whatsoever that it would still be running on air, five days a week, twice a day for 50 years.

"I am blessed," Hart revealed to Soapdom, being grateful for its longevity and Days' Executive Producer, Ken Corday, keeping the Boyce & Hart theme song airing all these years.

You may not recognize the name of the songwriting team of Boyce & Hart, but odds are, if you or your parents were around in the mid to late 1960s, you are more than familiar with their music.
