BURBANK, Calif. -– July 20, 2006 –- For the third quarter to date, NBC Daytime is #1 among women 18-49, up eight percent versus last year, while ABC and CBS are down.  Days of our Lives matches its highest women 18-49 rating since March.

NBC Daytime has delivered its biggest weeklong victory in 16 weeks in the key demographic of women 18-49. Scoring its highest women 18-49 rating in 13 weeks, NBC Daytime claimed the week of July 10-14 by a margin of 0.2 of a rating point over both ABC and CBS, the network's widest winning margin since the week of March 20-24.

Versus the same week last year, NBC is up 14 percent in women 18-49 viewers (1.085 million vs. 954,000) while CBS is down 6 percent and ABC is down 13 percent. NBC Daytime is #1 among women 18-49 viewers for the first three weeks of the third quarter, up 8 percent versus the same period last year (1.068 million vs. 991,000) while CBS is down 7 percent and ABC is down 8 percent.

NBC also won last week in the women 18-34 category, the network's 339th consecutive victory in this valuable demographic (including ties).

"Days of our Lives" (2.0 rating, 12 share among women 18-49, 1.9/11 among women 18-34) matched its highest women 18-49 rating in 16 weeks (since the week of March 20-24). "Days" ranked #2 for the week among women 18-49 and #1 among women 18-34, giving "Days" 563 wins in the last 570 weeks in the women 18-34 category (including ties).

For the week of July 10-14, "Passions" (1.3/8 among women 18-49, 1.5/9 among women 18-34) tied for #7 in the women 18-49 race and tied for #3 in the women 18-34 rankings.

Season to date, NBC is #2 among women 18-49 and #1 among women 18-34. "Days" is #3 in the season's women 18-49 race and #1 among women 18-34. For the season, "Passions" is tied for #7 in the women 18-49 category and tied for #3 among women 18-34.

According to in-home viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research for the week of July 10-14, averages among women 18-49 were: NBC a 1.7 rating, 10 share; ABC, 1.5/10; CBS, 1.5/9. Women 18-34 averages for the week were: NBC, 1.7/10; ABC, 1.2/8; CBS, 1.2/7. In total viewers, averages for the week were: CBS, 4.2 million; ABC, 3.1 million; NBC, 2.7 million.

For the season, averages among women 18-49 are: ABC, 1.7/11; NBC, 1.6/10; CBS, 1.5/10. Women 18-34 averages for the season are: NBC, 1.7/11; ABC, 1.3/8; CBS, 1.2/8. In total viewers, averages for the season are: CBS, 4.2 million; ABC, 3.2 million; NBC, 2.7 million.
