Season 4 winner named in first-time ever I Wanna Be a Soap Star live finale

Ashlee Holland and Cameron MathisonCongratulations to Ashlee Holland!  Cameron Mathison, host of SOAPnet's reality series "I Wanna Be A Soap Star," dances with Season 4 winner, Ashlee Holland, during the live season finale at Hollywood & Highland last night (October 16, 2007). Holland was awarded a 13-week contract role on NBC's "Days of our Lives."

In a true Hollywood ending to Soap Star season four, Holland was supposed to begin taping on "Days of our Lives" this Friday, to be seen on air starting in late November. However, "Days of our Lives" head writer (and co-judge of this season's "I Wanna Be a Soap Star") Hogan Sheffer, decided he wanted to beef up the part and give Holland some real material to sink her teeth into. If you saw the live finale last night, you saw a clip where after Ashlee's performance of one of the tasks, Sheffer said, "I want to write for you."  Looks like he wasn't kidding!  Holland will now begin taping November 30th and is scheduled to air December 26th.

Best known for his role as Ryan Lavery on All My Children, Cameron Mathison is also currently a contestant on "Dancing with the Stars." Last night, he was rushed from the set of the "Dancing with the Stars" Results Show -- where he learned that he was voted back to dance again next week -- to the Hollywood & Highland set of the live season finale of "I Wanna be a Soap Star," where he booted the warm up guy off the stage and warmed up to the audience himself.
