Happy Holidays from Soapdom.com. Check here to see if your soap is pre-empted.

Peace on earthAs is typically the case during holiday weekends, networks take over the airwaves and broadcast the likes of parades, football games, and other special holiday programming.  Nine times out of ten, soap operas fall victim to this “network takeover,” and this Christmas and New Year’s is no different.

On Monday, December 25, 2006 – Christmas Day – each and every soap opera on every major network is pre-empted.  But ABC Daytime fans, you’re in for a treat.  ABC will air an encore of SOAPnet’s Special “A Very Soapy Christmas” in the All My Children time slot.  Spend Christmas Day with the stars of ABC as they sing their favorite holiday songs! "A Very Soapy Christmas" features ABC Daytime's top musical talent, complete with intimate memories from each performer, stories, personal photos, and favorite family home videos.

Bold and the Beautiful fans heads up.  On Friday, December 29, 2006, the Bold and the Beautiful will be pre-empted on the West Coast ONLY.  (Check your local listings for re-airing times if applicable.)  But not to worry, West Coast fans.  This entire episode will be available to view online at www.cbs.com/innertube , CBS’s Broadband Channel.

The soaps will air as usual the rest of Christmas week.

On Monday, January 1, 2007 – New Year’s Day – all ABC Daytime and CBS Daytime soaps will be pre-empted again. But NBC Daytime fans you’re in luck.  Days of our Lives and Passions will air brand new episodes as usual.  The rest of the week all soap operas will air in their regular time slots.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanakuah, a Happy, Blessed and Peaceful New Year and a Happy Kwanzaa.  All of us at Soapdom appreciate your continued support of and participation at Soapdom.com.   See you next year!

Happy Holidays,
