As
is typically the case during holiday weekends, networks take over the
airwaves and broadcast the likes of parades, football games, and other
special holiday programming. Nine times out of ten, soap operas
fall victim to this “network takeover,” and this Christmas and New
Year’s is no different.
On Monday, December 25, 2006 – Christmas
Day – each and every soap opera on every major network is
pre-empted. But ABC Daytime fans, you’re in for a treat.
ABC will air an encore of SOAPnet’s Special “A Very Soapy Christmas” in
the All My Children time slot. Spend Christmas Day with the stars
of ABC as they sing their favorite holiday songs! "A Very Soapy
Christmas" features ABC Daytime's top musical talent, complete with
intimate memories from each performer, stories, personal photos, and
favorite family home videos.
