Back home where she belongs.

Felicia Scorpio-Jones Back in Port Charles

Kristina Wagner will return to the role of Felicia Scorpio-Jones on General Hospital, it was announced today by Brian Frons, president, ABC Daytime.  Her first air date will be March 1st.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kristina Wagner back and have Felicia return home to her family,” said Mr. Frons in making the announcement.

“There are so many faces I’m anxious to see again,” commented Kristina Wagner.  “I am so excited to see the cast and crew and work with these talented individuals.”

General Hospital Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps said, “The upcoming main storyline of the series afforded an opportunity to bring back the core character of Felicia – the mother of Georgie and Maxie Jones – to our show.  As a result, we were able to cast the role with an industry veteran who portrayed the character so deliciously in the past.”

Wagner portrayed the character of Felicia Scorpio-Jones from August 1984 to February 2002.  A native of Indianapolis, she had a penchant for performing since her earliest recollections.  She was active in high school drama, dance and local theater before enrolling in Indiana Central University as a dance major.  She then transferred to Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis, where she majored in theater.

After spending time with acting and dance lessons, Wagner sent her picture and resume – on the advice of her brother – to a modeling agency, which led to auditions for roles on All My Children, Ryan’s Hope, and eventually the part of Felicia on General Hospital.  Wagner begins airing again in the role of Felicia on March 1, 2004.

General Hospital, the innovative, award-winning drama series, celebrated 40 years of broadcasting on April 1, 2003, and is the longest-running dramatic serial on the ABC Television Network.  General Hospital consistently rates as the No. 1-ranked Daytime program with Women 18-49.

General Hospital was created by Frank and Doris Hursley. Jill Farren Phelps is the executive producer. Carol Scott, Mary O'Leary and Mercer Barrows are producers. General Hospital airs Monday-Friday (3:00-4:00 p.m., ET, 2:00-3:00 p.m., PT) on the ABC Television Network.

As the World Stops Turning: Thoughts on the Cancellation of As the World Turns

With candid comments from Helen Wagner (Nancy), Eileen Fulton (Lisa), Yvonne Perry (ex Rosanna) and Jeanne Cooper (Kay, Young and the Restless)

When I heard (on Soapdom) that As the World Turns is being cancelled, all I can say is that my afternoons will never be the same. I come before you to reveal that when I heard the news, it was like my world suddenly stopped turning. In fact, you can say, it crashed.

Not only as a writer/reporter have I done stories on the show and its stars, but I also have been an avid watcher and fan for more years than I care to admit. I've visited the set, met and interviewed many of the stars, and can truly say that
