ABC may have had the reality show, “The Bachelorette” on it’s primetime roster, but it’s NBC Daytime’s “Days of our Lives” that played host to Trista Rehn (The Bachelorette) Wednesday, afternoon, February 19, 2003 when she visited the Days set to meet her favorite daytime stars.

Yup, that’s correct. Days is Trista’s favorite soap!

So, as America counted down the hours to the finale of the real-life soap opera, “The Bachelorette” to see who Trista would choose as the man of her dreams, Charlie or Ryan, Trista could not have been more thrilled to get up close and personal with the likes of Drake Hogestyn (John), Peter Reckell (Bo), Matt Ashford (Jack), Kristian Alfonso (Hope), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer) and Alison Sweeney (Sami).

VO Announcer:  “Trista, now that your love life has played out in the reality soap opera that is ‘The Bachelorette' and you have chosen Ryan, your knight in shining armor, where are you going next?”

From the photo selection here, it certainly looks like Trista had a blast in Salem!

Oh yeah, one more thing --

I knew she was going to pick Ryan.  She had that baby talk thing going with him, and she’d melt whenever he shared a poem.  Plus, he made her laugh. My favorite line -- when the invite was delivered to them at the restaurant.  Soon as the notion of spending a night together was brought up, Ryan’s immediate response:  “Check please.”

Ya gotta love a sensitive, tall, dark handsome blue-eyed fireman with a sense of humor!   Soapdom wishes them the best.
