It's a special holiday episode.  Aiken gives a private concert at Salem's local club Dune for Patch (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) after the couple offer to volunteer to help Aiken catch a ride to the airport when his car gets stranded.

Aiken's recent release, A Thousand Different Ways, offers fans 10 cover versions of love songs spanning the last three decades, as well as four brand-new songs including "Everything I Have." In 2003, Aiken's debut album, "Measure of a Man," went triple platinum and his follow-up holiday release, "Merry Christmas with Love," was the best-selling holiday album of 2004. He shot to stardom on the hit television series "American Idol" and continues to amaze audiences and his legions of devoted fans with his powerful voice.

In what must be a move to beef up the musical offerings of the show, Aiken's appearance on Days comes on the heels of Smokey Robinson who hits Salem in mid-November.

Days of our Lives Guy Wilson excited to be part of the 50th

Guy Wilson (Will, Days of our Lives) said the upcoming 50th anniversary in November is something that is incredible in the industry, and that he is so proud to be able to say that he is part of the canvas.

"Oh without a doubt! You know shows come and go, but to be here for 50 years? You know something is right!" Wilson said. "For me personally, this is a great career opportunity and to be able to work with some of the greatest actors. And what a thrill to be on something with such staying power. I'm excited."

Wilson added that he was thrilled to see many longtime veteran actors' returning to the show for the 50th anniversary and said that seeing them and working with them has been an amazing experience. "It will be big!"
