Aaron D. Spears (Justin, B&B)Back in early February, Aaron D. Spears (Justin, Bold and the Beautiful), couldn't be more excited about celebrating B&B's 6000th episode. He came in on a day off to party on set with the rest of the cast and crew.

"6000 episodes is amazing," Spears bellowed! "A lot of soaps don't make it that long. A lot of soaps don't stay as modern

as they need to stay. A lot of soap are not seen domestically and internationally. This is a blessing!"

Spears was likewise as grateful – if not even more so – for the acknowledgement he'd just received from the NAACP Image Awards for his nomination as Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama. "I really appreciate it," he said when congratulated on the nomination. "I am accepting all praises coming my way.".

The scenes he submitted to the NAACP involved the "Brooke exposure" storyline. "All the computer stuff. Me editing the photos. The web cam, all that good stuff. I submitted that episode," he revealed.

For the first time, the NAACP Image Awards broadcast will include the daytime drama categories as part of the show. Along with Spears, Cornelius Smith, Jr., "All My Children" (ABC), Darnell Williams, "All My Children" (ABC), and Rodney Saulsberry, "The Bold and the Beautiful" (CBS) are also nominated in the Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series category.

Debbi Morgan, "All My Children" (ABC), Julia Pace Mitchell, "The Young and the Restless" (CBS), Tatyana Ali "The Young and the Restless" (CBS), Tonya Lee Williams, "The Young and the Restless" (CBS), and Yvette Freeman, "The Bold and the Beautiful" (CBS) are nominated in the Outstanding Actress in Daytime Drama Series category.

Hosted by Holly Robinson Peete and Wayne Brady, the star-studded NAACP Image Awards take place on Friday, March 4, 2011 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. They will be broadcast at 8:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX. The newly added Daytime Drama broadcast categories will highlight the outstanding work of some of daytime's most popular actors.
