On June 12, 2008, The Bold and the Beautiful was the recipient of the International TV Audience award in the category of “Telenovela/Soap Opera” at the 48th Monte-Carlo Television Festival Golden Nymph Awards Ceremony held at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, confirming that it is the most watched daily drama series in the world. This is the third consecutive year that the series has been the recipient of this award.
The International TV Audience Awards are determined by the sum of ratings across five continents and 51 countries as measured by Médiamétrie and Eurodata TV Worldwide. The win signifies that The Bold and the Beautiful delivered higher ratings worldwide in 2007 than any other daily drama series.
The award was accepted by cast members Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan) and Kyle Lowder (Rick Forrester) who travelled to Monaco to participate in the festival.
Created by Médiamétrie, Eurodata TV Worldwide distributes programming and audience information, based on its partnership with the national institutes operating people meter systems throughout the world.
