Bold and the Beautiful Nabs Texas Battle

Texas Battle (Marcus, Bold and the Beautiful)Actor Texas Battle has joined the cast of CBS’s hit daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful, in the contract role of “Marcus,” Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley P. Bell announced today.

“Marcus books a flight to Los Angeles after seeing the wedding announcement of Eric and Donna in the local paper,” Bell explains. “He arrives on the scene at a time when the Forresters and the Logans are embroiled in deeply emotional issues.  It is soon revealed that Marcus is connected to the Logans, a secret that Donna has been keeping since she was a teenager.

Battle’s previous credits include Final Destination 3, Coach Carter, Wrong Turn 2, 12 Miles of Bad Road, One Tree Hill, The Bernie Mac Show, The Parkers, Committed and All of Us.  Additionally, he recently wrapped a supporting role in Dragonball for Fox and the feature film, Even Money (fka Jump Shot), opposite Nick Cannon, Kim Basinger, Forest Whittaker, Ray Liotta and Kelsey Grammer.

Born in Houston, Texas, Battle graduated from the University of Texas, majoring in Kinesiology. Upon graduation, he started substitute teaching before following his dreams to Los Angeles, to become an actor.  He is single and enjoys spending time on the beach, working out, playing basketball and working on his rap music.

Oh and just for future reference, the Bold and the Beautiful, which celebrated its 21st anniversary on March 23, 2008, is a Bell-Phillip Television production, broadcast weekdays (1:30-2:00 PM, ET; 12:30-1:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.  Bradley P. Bell is the Executive Producer and Head Writer.  The first and only daytime drama to simulcast in Spanish utilizing SAP (Secondary Audio Program) technology, the show is the most watched daily dramatic serial in the world, viewed in more than 140 countries.

All My Children's Walt Willey opens up about being a stand up comic

All My Children may be off the air, but one of it’s most, charming, debonair, drop dead gorgeous, and hilariously funny stars, none other than Walt Willey (Jackson Montgomery), is out on the road again doing his stand up comedy act.  On Sunday, May 18, Willey hits the Detroit area, starring for one night at Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, MI.  

Soapdom’s Laurie Bedigian caught up with Willey over the weekend via email and asked a few questions about his comedic roots, his love of acting, his comedy heroes and more.  Plus, he shares a bit about what the audience can expect on show night.  All I can say is the subject of sex may be involved.  Say what?  I’ll let Willey clear that one up for you.  LOL
